Corporations is in fact in the overcooked meat catagory. But I am gonna tenderize the steak, damn it! I will not be brought down by muscle tissue! I am gonna have to work my butt off this semester to make sense of ANY of this (which is part of the reason I am still at the law school at 6:30, when my classes ended at 10:40 am.) But when I am done, I want to have a nice, juicy, medium rare steak, with all the trimmings. No overcooked meat for me!!!

(I think it is getting to be about the time I go home now....)

So I haven't blogged in a while (and haven't really thought about my blog till I realized today I couldn't remember the last time I wrote.) What has happened in the interm? Let's see, I finished my job at the clinic. Well, didn't really finish it, since I am staying on for the school year, but chopped my client load to 3 clients, so I don't go totally nuts this semester. And the cases I am keeping are exciting. One is my appeal in the Superior court, and one is a full jury trial. And they are all mine, which I am happy about, since I like these clients. Not that I didn't like any of my other ones, but these are becoming near and dear to my heart.

In other news, I started school today. Theoretically, this is the last "first day of school" I will ever have. Well, unless I go back to school. Or if I have kids, since we all know parents look forward to their kids first day of school, where they finally are not hanging out around the house like they were all summer. I had 2 classes today, both of which are gonna be tough for me. Relatively tough, and slightly dry material (much like an overcooked piece of meat.) Tomorrow is corporations, which might be cool, or it might fall into the overcooked meat catagory. And to think, I get to do this kind of stuff for the REST OF MY LIFE.

When can I go be a fire jumper?

It is Saturday night. There is a dinner invitation that I am not attending. There are a bunch of people out smoking a Hooka (is that how you spell that thing that the caterpiller smoked in Alice in Wonderland?) But I am not with them either. I am not at the bar, I am not watching movie with friends. I am sitting in my room, surrounded by paperwork, notes and photocopied documents. Why, might you ask? I have a trial on wednesday. Now, most people would think "Oh, trial on wednesday, no problem, just work on sunday, monday and tuesday. You can still go out tonight." But no, here I sit, since I have an OCD client, and a supervisor who is going to drive me to drink (or to a heart attack.) Damn job. Damn client. awwwwww....just damn.

My friend Terri got married today. Having never been to a wedding before, I have nothing to compare it to. BUT...it was wonderful. Terri looked stunning, Steve looked phenom, they are a wonderful couple who seriously look like Cinderella and her Prince Charming. The Rev. who did the ceremony was great, and very funny, and the reception was sooooooo much fun. My wonderful date Joey and I danced the night away (and boy did I pick right with Joey. That boy can DANCE!) And we all had a bit to drink and ate wonderful food. It was a fabulous evening, and seeing Terri literally beaming the entire night melted my little heart.

Oh yeah, and my supervisor Mary was there. I think she got an interesting perspective on me tonight. I guess she didn't know I actually like formal events, or liked dancing (ah, my dirty little secrets are out.) This should make monday fun...
