Well, it's been a while since I wrote, and I would like to think that I have lots of exciting things to tell. Well, my new job (unpaid, of course. damn you economy....) is really cool, surprisingly. I'm a judicial clerk, and my boss, the Judge, is extremely cool. He and his clerk, John, are actually teaching me a lot. And I have to read a lot as well. Lots of book research (thank you Kristin for all my book research education...) I also get to sit in on all the judges cases, as well as any of the cases in the Supreme Court as well. My judge does 3 different courts (because NY state is weird). So I get to see County, Family and Surrogate court cases. And research all three. But, I get my own office, and a lot of flex time, so I really can't complain about the work (not that it is all that bad.)

Starting tomrrow I get to watch a really interesting case in the Supreme Court. It is an attempted kiddnapping case, and it is going to be VERY interesting to see how it turns out. Suffice it to say that the defense has a really neat stradegy (which I can't talk about since the defense lawyer told me in confidence, making me feel EXTEREMLY cool.) This also means I am a very big law nerd, but we kinda knew that already, didn't we? Yeah, we did....
