Lawyer Shows?

What happened to all the good lawyer shows? I mean, aside from the plethora of law & order shows, there really are not any other law shows out there (Boston Legal is on hiatus till next season, and with the exception of L&O Trial by Jury, the rest are more cop focused then lawyer focused.) Remember when The Practice started? That was a fantastic show. Good lawyering, less drauma, plenty of trial time. Then it got lame, over draumatic and, of course, the entire case was fired. And Law and Order is pretty cool, but is only criminal law, and is only one half of the time the lawyers. Trial by Jury is good, mostly law, but still, only crim.

Not that I don't love doctor shows. I do. I love them, in fact. I am continually shocked that ER is still on, and that I still watch it (I can't help it, I still can't get enough Carter. :-) Heh.) And I love Grey's Anatomy. Disturbingly, it makes me wish I hadn't given up on med school (I know, it is sick to wish this, and I suppose when I am well rested and not stressing about school, the idea of working 36-48 hour shifts will seem less appealing.) And I like the science shows (the CSIs of the world.) I know that it is unrealistic, but I love seeing science in a fun way, and solving mysteries is fun.

But I want to see more lawyer shows! Give me a show about staying up late and prepping for trials. Give me a show with the evil junior partner making the first year associates lives a living hell. Give me the crazy, pushy client who won't settle for any amount. Give me MY life in the future!!

I understand that doctors and criminal specialists are cooler then us lawyer types. And I get that maybe trials are not as cool as bringing a criminal in, or saving a life. But lawyers can be cool too. Right?
